How it works

You design a running shirt with a dating-profile graphic and a QR code (or your number, or a social handle). A person checks every order before your card is charged, then it’s printed to order and shipped to a US address, usually in 6–12 business days. When someone scans the code, they see a mini profile you control: edit it, mark yourself Taken, or pause it any time.
Pick a shirt and a design
Start in the designer with one of our 7 shirts (compare them), in adult sizes XS–3XL depending on the shirt (size charts). Sizes our printing partner can’t make right now show as sold out.
Then pick one of 8 designs, from a profile card to a race bib, for the front, the back or both (a second side adds $8). Need words? See what to put on a dating shirt.
Choose how people reach you
Most designs offer a QR code (the default), your number printed big, both, or a social handle as text. Only the QR code’s page can change later; a printed number is permanent, and anyone who sees it, even in a photo, can text you.
With a QR code, the designer asks “When someone scans your shirt they see:”. Tick My number (a Text me button, using your printed number if there is one), My DateCard or both, plus Instagram or TikTok if you like. Every QR design needs at least one of them.
Any number must be yours, so we check it by hand before approving your order. Text me goes live once we have.
The small shop link
Each printed side carries one small SHOP.DATE-CARD.APP line, clear of your words and code, so people who like your shirt can find us later. Leaving it off adds $5 a shirt. Nothing else on the shirt moves. Your scan page always ends with a “Get your own shirt” link naming shop.date-card.app.
Checkout and payment
You confirm you and the wearer are 18 or older, then pay through Stripe. Your card is authorized, not charged, until we approve your order; if we decline it, we release the hold. We check our printing partner’s stock again before we charge. Details: Shipping, Refunds.
We check it, print it and ship it
A person reviews your order within 1 business day. Printing takes 2–5 business days and shipping 3–4 business days: usually 6–12 business days from order to door, to US addresses only (no territories). Your order page shows tracking, and a misprint or a code that won’t scan gets a free reprint if you tell us within 30 days of delivery.
What someone sees when they scan it
A phone camera opens your scan page in the browser. It shows your first name, age (if you add it) and line, then the buttons you chose, in this order: Text me, your DateCard, Instagram, TikTok. The first is the big one. Your number isn’t on the page; it shows only after someone taps Text me.
Below that: a reminder to say hi kindly, a safety note, “Get your own shirt” ($5 off for them) and a report link. Taken and Paused change the page at once. More in our QR shirt safety guide.
You stay in control
Your order page gives you a private manage link: keep it like a password. Use it to edit your page, switch between Single, Taken and Paused, turn Text me on or off, and see daily scan counts, never who scanned, where or when (privacy). If it gets out, make a new link.
Safety built in
Our content rules check your words as you type, and a person checks every order before it prints. A person reads every report within 24 hours, and one about someone under 18 usually switches the code off at once. Report a number printed without its owner’s consent and we block it from every shirt. We don’t run background checks: read our safety tips before meeting anyone.

- Prices are per shirt, in US dollars, for the cheapest size. 2XL adds $3, and 3XL (The Pacer only) adds $5.
- Each printed side carries one small SHOP.DATE-CARD.APP line. Leaving it off adds $5 a shirt.
- Shipping is $5.95 per order, and free when your order comes to $75 or more after discounts.
- Starting from someone’s scan page (their “Get your own shirt” link) takes $5 off your order.
Questions
Is this a dating app?
No. It’s a shirt: no app, no profiles to browse, no messaging inside the shop. Someone sees you in person and reaches you the way you chose. Other options: alternatives to dating apps.
Do people need an app to scan the QR code?
No. Any phone camera that reads QR codes opens your scan page in the browser. Trouble scanning? See the FAQ.
When is my card charged?
When we approve your order for printing, after a last check of our printing partner’s stock. At checkout your card is only authorized.
Can I change what the QR code shows after the shirt is printed?
Yes, any time, from your manage link. The print never changes, which is why the QR code is the default.
What happens when I’m not single any more?
Switch your page to Taken (you’re off the market) or Paused (a neutral page with nothing about you) from your manage link. Both work at once, and you can switch back.
