Terms of Sale and Use

The deal, in plain English. By ordering a shirt or using a scan page, you agree to it.

Who we are

Single File Run Club is a DateCard property based in Dallas, Texas. It sells personalized running shirts at shop.date-card.app.

Business name: Owner TODO: the legal business name behind the shop (sole proprietor and DBA, or LLC).

Who can use the shop

You must be 18 or older to buy a shirt, and the person who wears it must be 18 or older too. We ship to addresses in the United States only. Our shirts are for personal use, not for resale.

How ordering works

  1. You design your shirt: the garment, a template, your words, and how people reach you (a QR code, a handle, or a phone number).
  2. If you print a phone number, we confirm with you that it’s yours before it’s printed.
  3. You pay at checkout. Your card is authorized, not charged.
  4. A person reviews every order before it’s printed, usually within 1 business day.
  5. If we approve it, we charge your card and send it to our printing partner. If we don’t, we release the authorization and you’re never charged.
  6. It’s printed to order and shipped to you (see Shipping).

An order is accepted only when we approve it. We can decline any order, for example one that breaks our content rules.

Your words and your page

You keep the rights to what you write. You give us permission to print it, to share it with our printing partner and payment processor to fill your order, and to show it in our marketing only if you say yes.

You promise that what goes on your shirt and your scan page is yours to use, lawful, about you, and follows our Safety and content rules. We can refuse or cancel an order, or change or switch off a scan page, that doesn’t.

Phone numbers and QR codes

  • Print only your own number. We confirm it with you before it can be printed, and a “Text me” number shows only after we’ve checked it, when we approve your order.
  • A printed number is permanent. Anyone who sees the shirt, or a photo of it, can text you.
  • The QR code on your shirt opens a page on our site that you control with a private manage link: edit it, mark yourself Taken, or pause it any time. Keep that link private; anyone with it can change your scan page. If it gets out, make a new one from that page, and the old one stops working.
  • We can switch off a QR code, or remove a number from a scan page, to stop abuse, protect someone’s safety, or follow the law.
Owner TODO: state how long printed QR codes are guaranteed to keep working (for example, at least 3 years from purchase) and how much notice owners get before any shutdown.

Prices and shipping

Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Shipping is $5.95 per order, and free when your order comes to $75 or more after discounts. Promo codes: one per order, no cash value, and we can end a promotion at any time.

Payment

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. Your card is authorized at checkout and charged only when we approve your order. If we decline it, or you cancel before we approve it, the authorization is released.

Production and shipping

See Shipping for timing. If we can’t ship by the date we gave you, we’ll tell you before that date, give you a new one, and let you cancel for a full refund.

Returns, refunds and cancellations

Shirts are made to order, so they’re final sale except for our mistakes: misprints, defects, damage, the wrong item, or a QR code that won’t scan. See Refunds.

Names and trademarks

Single File Run Club and DateCard are our names. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any dating app or apparel brand. When we name the maker of a blank shirt, it’s only to tell you what you’re buying: we print our own designs on genuine blanks. To report an intellectual-property problem, email hello@date-card.app.

Safety

We sell shirts. We don’t screen, vet or match people, and we can’t control what anyone does after they see your shirt.

SINGLE FILE RUN CLUB DOES NOT CONDUCT CRIMINAL BACKGROUND CHECKS ON THE PEOPLE WHO BUY OR WEAR ITS SHIRTS, OR ON ANYONE WHO CONTACTS THEM THROUGH A SCAN PAGE.

What’s not allowed

  • Harassing, threatening or impersonating anyone.
  • Printing or posting someone else’s name, number or photo.
  • Anything sexual, or anything involving someone under 18.
  • Selling sex, spam, scams, or hate.

Our responsibility

The shop and scan pages are provided as they are. To the extent Texas law allows, we aren’t responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for how other people respond to your shirt, and our total responsibility for an order is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here takes away rights you have under consumer-protection law that can’t be waived.

Texas law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas, though either of us may use small-claims court.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top changes when we do, and orders follow the terms in place when they were placed.
